My experience is always a enjoyable moment. They have alot of spices to meet my needs for tandoori chicken to kofta and most ingredients to make Greek salads and stuff grape leaves ( dolmas) they have friendly respectful workers. Plz come over there and get ur spices and breads there. Delicious things there and very clean atmosphere to be at.
Nice place to get my loose leaf Earl Grey tea, as well as some canned middle eastern & (south) east European food. Everything else they sell is cheaper in Costco, WinCo, or Walmart.
Expired food still on the shelves. Found a pallet of rice that expired a year ago for sale. Got food poisoning once from these guys. Not a good place to buy food, to be honest. Go a few miles up the road to Haji Baba restaurant. Much better service and products. No expired stuff either.
I go shop here a lot because they sell some food that I can't find anywhere else, but the problem is they sell expired items even if it was expired a month ago, they would still sell it. The owner never updates the stock, nor removes expired items. I just had cheese that I got from them and tried to eat it for breakfast, I got food poisoning after finding out the cheese is expired, the owner sells the cheese for quite an expensive price. It's not just the cheese, I've had expired labne, yogurt, bread, pickles, and a lot more. Pretty sure you're not allowed to sell expired items, but the owner does anyway.
Farouk and his wife are very knowledgeable of the international food products they sell. The prices are slightly above wholesale ( below normal retail) because they have been in the wholesale business for many years. The retail space as well as the warehouse are very clean and organized. The inventory is always well stocked and fresh. We buy a large variety of products for both our restaurant and home. Haji-Baba International Foods is definitely a store you should visit if you are looking for Mediterranean/international spices and foods. Do yourself a favor and stop by .... most important the store looks and smells clean.
